Miss Monie is a veteran dance artist and educator from Brooklyn, New York.

With an undergraduate degree in Education and History with an emphasis in Africana Studies,

she is a candidate for an EdM. (PHD Of Education) in Dance. She began her Studio and Company, DIVA WORKS DANCE in 1989, while dancing professionally since the age of 19, and being mentored by esteemed faculty at Dance Theater Of Harlem.
